![]() I actually start to feel physical ill, even a little feverish when I am stressing myself out over health concerns. Stress and psoriasis are linked, remember that. I initially felt some pain and tenderness shortly after I noticed the lymph nodes, and I eventually realized after several doctors told me they were nothing to worry about that I was causing 100% of the pain by messing with them because of the stress they were causing. If my experience is any indication, the tenderness you’re feeling is probably a direct result of the fact that you’ve been touching, massaging, pressing down on and otherwise abusing your lymph node because of how stressed you are about it. Which they never have.Ī word of advice for those of you who commented previously who also reported feeling pain or tenderness. I told my doctor that I was stressing about whether they were cancerous or something, and he laughed and told me that they weren’t even close to large enough for that to be a concern, and that I should only be worried if they begin growing rapidly. With the exception of one person who it seems may be describing an unrelated condition, all of us who have actually went to a doctor and had our enlarged lymph nodes checked have been told that it was nothing to worry about. That is entirely my fault for not seeking treatment for my psoriasis by the way, not a signal that treatment doesn’t work or anything. My psoriasis has not gone back into remission since I was 17 or 18, so I can’t say whether they go away with effective treatment. They have been there for a long time now, and have never grown in size beyond the size they were when I initially noticed them. I have a couple enlarged lymph nodes around the site of my psoriasis as well. I am a 27 year old male who was diagnosed with psoriasis as a kid. I'm glad to have found this forum as I know I'm not alone I wear cotton gloves which at least make me feel a bit less vulnerable. Not having full use of my hands is making life hard as I can't prep and cook food atm. ![]() I saw a Dermatologist on Thursday this week, and as the creams are effective there's currently no extra treatment required. I seem to spend my waking hours braced, ready for any sudden unexpected movement. She also confirmed swollen lymph nodes - even the tops of my arms ache. I've got two steroid creams, Lotriderm & Dermovate, which are effective, & Zero cream as a soap substitute. My hands flared up so bad over that weekend that I saw my GP on the Monday and she prescribed Erythromycin. She also said my neck pain was not connected but due to sleeping awkwardly. She said she wasn't sure what the cause was and I was prescribed Flucoxacillan. Then they appeared again in rapidly increasing size /number so I got a same day appointment to see my local Nurse practitioner. I think this is when the base of my skull / neck started aching. First small clear blisters appeared about a month ago but I burst them and thought nothing of it. I've been diagnosed with Palmoplantar Pustulosis at the age of 56. I don't know what or how it all is or works. I have had very good results and my lymph nodes have settled down considerably. I was finally diagnosed with PSA and put on Tremfya My lymph nodes constantly fired off wherever the psoriasis was flaring.Īt this point my psoriasis spread to my feet, hands, ankles, gums, scalp, toe and finger nails, nostrils, lips only occasionally, and last but not least, my booty hole. ![]() I go back for a 6 month mammogram post biopsy in two weeks. They did two biopsies and the results were again suspicious but not conclusive. My lymph nodes all over me were going nuts. The result of the bc screens showed a small suspicious area deep in my breast. ![]() I also went to a Breast Care specialist and was put through many types of screens and more bloodwork. My gp ran extensive bloodwork and discovered I have a vitamin D deficiency and pretty high white blood cell count. My lymph nodes began to swell and hurt wherever the rash/scales went. About 4 months into using prescription topical creams, a large painful spot appeared on my breast. My body went through intensely painful "phases". Two biopsies confirmed the basics of psoriasis. When my psoriasis exploded up out of nowhere in my life at 56, it was quite frightening and a "non-textbbook" type of rash. ![]()
